Sub the Room Product Schedule

This Schedule is read together with the Master Terms of Service.

Schedule 9 — Sub the Room

Effective: 2 October 2026

This Schedule forms part of our Master Terms of Service. Capitalised terms have the meanings given in the Master Terms, and the order of precedence in the Master Terms applies. Nothing in this Schedule replaces the Master Terms' provisions on liability, the Australian Consumer Law, disputes or privacy.

1. Product description

Sub the Room is a community puzzle game operated by Clever Iterations Pty Ltd that runs inside Reddit communities. Each day a community works together to open a room of locks using clues shared among its players. Where league play is enabled, two communities play the same match format and send each other predefined "sabotages" that change the opposing room for the next day.

2. Access and eligibility

2.1 Sub the Room is available only where a community's moderators have installed it. It depends on Reddit for access, identity and hosting of the game.

2.2 You play using your Reddit account. There is no separate Sub the Room account or password. You must meet the Master Terms' age and consent requirements and Reddit's eligibility requirements, including any higher minimum age that applies where you live.

2.3 Your use is also subject to Reddit's own terms and to the rules of the community where you play. Sub the Room is independently operated by Clever Iterations and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Reddit, Inc.

3. How the game works

3.1 Each player receives clues and a limited number of attempts per lock during each daily round. Rounds open and close on a schedule shown in the game.

3.2 Clue sharing, voting and other in-game actions use predefined choices only. The game does not accept free-text submissions.

3.3 No purchase, Reddit post, comment or community subscription is required to play or to progress.

3.4 Sabotages are game mechanics that affect the opposing community's puzzle. They are not permission to contact, harass or interfere with another person or community, on Reddit or elsewhere.

4. Fair play

You must not exploit bugs, automate play, use multiple accounts to gain extra clues or attempts, circumvent limits, or interfere with the game or its services. We may void results, adjust matches, or remove a community from league play to correct errors or respond to abuse.

5. Community moderators

5.1 Moderators of a participating community can create game posts, pause or resume play, reset the current day's round before it is submitted, and choose whether their community joins league play.

5.2 In league play, a paused or missed day counts as a forfeit for that community once the day's deadline has passed. Opting out of the league stops new pairings but does not end a match in progress.

6. Results, prizes and rewards

Results are for entertainment. There are no purchases, cash prizes, transferable rewards or wagering in Sub the Room. Match records may be affected by moderation, service unavailability or corrective action.

7. Availability

7.1 Sub the Room depends on Reddit and, for league play, a third-party database provider (Supabase). Features, rounds or matches may be delayed, suspended or withdrawn if a platform changes, a required platform permission is refused or withdrawn, or a service is unavailable. Where league play is unavailable, communities may continue to play against the in-game house team.

7.2 Sub the Room may be offered as a pilot or pre-release feature. The Master Terms' provisions for free, beta and pre-release features apply, subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Shared activity

Clue shares and attempts are shown with your Reddit username to anyone who can view the game post. These are shared community features, not private messages or a private workspace. Our Privacy Policy, including its Sub the Room section, explains what information the game uses and how long it is kept.

9. Support and reports

For game support or to report abuse, contact admin@subtheroom.com. For privacy requests, contact privacy@cleveriterations.com. Include a link to the relevant game post where possible. Never send passwords or API keys.
